User settings
User profile
The user page contains the following information:
- Username — a unique identifier for Atlas users
- Name — the first name of the user (optional)
- Last name — the last name of the user (optional)
- Email —the email address (optional)
- SCM username — a username in the version control system, used to map analyzer warnings to the Atlas user (optional);
- Authentication — a method of logging in.
The following authentication options are available:
- Atlas account — users can log in to the platform only using an existing account and password created and stored on Atlas Server. This authentication type is set by default when registering through the web interface.
- LDAP account — a user can log in to the platform only with the username and password created for them on the LDAP server. If authentication is successful and no account exists on Atlas Server, an account will be created, but it will only allow logging in to the platform this way.
- Atlas + LDAP — users can log in using any authentication method, with their own username. Each login method has its own password.
- Deactivate — the user is prohibited from logging in to the Atlas Server platform, even if they have an active account on the LDAP server.
User permission system
By default, Atlas Server users can only view projects and analysis results. Creating, editing, and deleting them requires certain access permissions.
List of user permissions:
- Project management — allows creating, editing, and deleting projects, branches, profiles, and quality gates. Suitable for project leads and technical leads.
- Markup management — allows making changes to reports: marking up and commenting on analyzer warnings. Suitable for those responsible for resolving warnings in the code.
- User management — allows creating, editing, and deleting profiles for other users.
- Administrator — has full access to all features of the Atlas Server platform.
